Guys, I updated to 4.1 GM as well. Okay I'm new to this baseband thinggy, My Modem firmware shows as 05.14.02. Is this the newer version? BTW, I'm on iPhone 3GS
It's not that dodgy.
Getting anything other than Apple's genuine, signed firmware to run on the iPhone is near impossible (just using iTunes).
Yes, you can install it without a registered UDID. Just download the GM and opt-click to open the file.
Does anyone know what changes they've made to the baseband. I seem to be getting better signals in areas than before I updated. I don't know if ATT is upping the power (big football game this weekend, 100,000+ in a small area) or if the phone interacts with the network a little better. Anyone else notice better reception after having your baseband updated?

I can assure you I had the GM and it did have game center. other than that, it was exactly the same as the official release.
Is GameCenter only an iPhone 4/3GS 4.1 thing? I have 4.1 on my 3G and there is no GameCenter on it. I'm not upgrading the iPhone 4 until it's jailbroken.
rumour has it that the 3G isn't getting game center as other people don't have it on their 3G

Remove the sim tray .. how long does it take to show the "no sim" pop up?
No put it back in.. how long until the iphone removes the "No sim" thing and shows the actual carrier logo and signal strength?
What you had was the gold master candidate. There can be a difference between the GM and a candidate.
Solid advice. I wouldn't even dignify his replies with an answer.
As for the topic at hand, I installed 4.1 last night and my Modem Firmware is 02.10.04 and everything is fine on my end.
