Don't want all drives to mount on bootup

Hi,

I would like only certain drives on my mac pro to mount at bootup. I would like the others to stay dormant until I need them / use Disk Utility.

I found some directions on how to do this using Terminal, but they are from 2006 and they don't seem to work.

Can anyone help?

This works for me on SL. One thing though, there is a slight error that is pointed out in the first comment.
