I saw the bars on my replacement as I'm returning it back for yellow spots/loose volume buttons and want to restore 4.0 back on my original. I never had 4.0.1 on my original but Apple gave me an error when I tried to DFU/restore back to 4.0 with it. How do I do it or am I out of luck restoring to 4.0.1?

How do I restore my original again with 4.0? iTunes is giving me an error. I never had 4.0.1 on this phone.

What is the problem with 4.0.1? Why on earth do you want to go backwards? I think that is what you are talking about
