Door sensor with iPhone notifications

Does anyone have any recommendations on a sensor I can put on a pantry door which will notify me every time it is opened?

I don't want to spend a ton, and I would prefer not having to use some sort of a hub (Smart things, etc.).

I was hoping there was some sort of a door sensor that just connects to WiFi and then notifies via app?

Anything you can recommend?

I don't know of any specific products for that specific task. But you could set up a Raspberry PI to do that fairly easily. There are probably already a bunch of things already written for stuff like that on their website.

The Elgato Eve Door is right up your alley. It doesn't require a hub to work. I have a couple and love them.

Reviews for the Eve Door Sensor are saying that it can't be used as a HomeKit trigger, such as automatically turning on the lights when you unlock your door. I'm hoping there is a solution for that soon.
