I was reading that with .Mac you can use your own domain name instead of the one mac assigns you. My question is does anyone know if my site is business oriented if that will be an issue? Thanks

There wouldn't be a problem.

OsiriX. A very useful and popular DICOM viewing program is done by a .Mac member.

Sadly, You would need to buy a domain separately (I am uncertain if the subscription would pay for it). If that is the case however I would love to know about it.

There are other hosting servers that will do it for free (not trying to diss .mac I use it)
www.awardspace.com

well I like the other features of .Mac but with paying for my hosting and .Mac would be too much for me. But it was an idea I had.

.mac hosting plus additional features: 100$/year
Awardspace hosting without additional features: 0$/month

.mac advantages
-iweb
-greater traffic
-mail
-iphoto galleries
-imovie galleries
-ichat (screen-sharing)
-More Space
-etc.

If you already have a domain it is routable for free to anywhere.
