I edited this short video for our company in FCP, and my co-worker told me to send it in highest quality QT for uploading to YouTube and a bunch of other sites. Now, the guy who's running the website is chewing me out for not compressing it from FCP into .flv.

I came here to double check, you can't compress into .flv, can you? Isn't that proprietary to each site? Or am I mistaken?

Right, but you can't "convert" into .flv generically? The flash files used by YouTube and any other site, for example, are different, right? You can't convert into those, correct?
