I have this strange bug (or it's a feature?) since switched from iTunes to Apple Music on Mac - when the song is playing and then I want to play another song, I double click on it but it stops the previous song. Then I have to click again to play it. Or if I want to play immediately, I have to nail the play icon on the left side of the song name.
