I did a clean install of Leopard the other day, installed 10.5.7 combo update and am seeing an issue where some files are showing double extensions.

It seems to happen when I save a document through Safari (the latest 4 beta).

For instance:

picture.jpg.jpeg

document.pdf.pdf

Any ideas how to fix it?

It seems that the option to hide file extensions is set and when you are saving the file you are saving the file as "picture.jpg" instead of just "picture". The system automatically adds the appropriate file extension and that's why it appears you are getting double file extensions.

If that's not the case, I have no clue
