Since the start of June 2020, I seem to be getting double notifications on a few apps.
This started with YouTube but has also happened with several other apps.
What happens is:
- I’ll get a YouTube (or other app) notification pop up on my lock screen.
- Less than 10 seconds later I‘ll get another IDENTICAL notification pop up on my lock screen.
It’s almost like the iPhone thinks it’s logged into accounts or apps twice and giving me identical but double notifications?
I am running the latest iOS update on an iPhone X and I also run an Apple Watch and iPad Pro (both also on the latest WatchOS and iPadOS updates).
I don’t seem to get the duplicate notifications on my iPad Pro.
The only other quirk I seem to get is that sometimes I can dismiss a notification on either my Apple Watch or iPhone but it will update and then show up on both again.
I’ve already tried Googling and searching for answers and tried the usual “solutions” of disabling/reenabling notifications and/or restarting the device.
Has anyone else had this happen more often recently and is there a fix?
