Double notify sound for SMS

i have iphone 4 with 5.1.1, even tho i have it set to audio notify once i SOMETIMES get two sounds.. happens on both wifi and 3G.. anyone else get this?

two separate ones.. never had this before 5.1.1 me thinks its a bug

but i mean two of the same sound for one SMS

interesting never had this before. i get the stutter every once in awhile, but i don't think i've ever had the same sound twice.

I get this from time to time. The stutter and the double tone. I clear all the apps and restart the phone.

You get sometimes i get all the times...i also want to remove this 2 times DING DING

get the double notification also, usually about 30 sec apart.

Ive had the stutter too. Also the double notification as previous poster said about 20 - 30 seconds apart.

Stutter seems more frequent but still rare, perhaps once or twice a month it happens.

Do you have either a Mac or an iPad in the same vicinity (within hearing range)? I have iPhone/iPad/MBP and when a SMS/Message or email comes it, the Dings on each are not at the same time, maybe a half to a full second apart. Gets to be kind of funny - surround sound!
