Hi All,

75th anniversary of the Omega Sea Master this year. I'm getting my 20 year old Pierce Brosnan Seamaster resurrected, and to hell with it, I'll try double wristing for a while. Best of both worlds. AW health stats, and a nice looking watch on the other wrist.

It has occurred to me, when I double wrist - I don't actually need DATE and TIME on the AW face. More space for other things.

Any ideas out there for suitable Apple watch faces? Has anyone out there on this forum even gone down this route?

I.e Idea of faces I can switch to, when I wear the 2nd watch

The gallery does not include a 'double wristing' section unfortunately.

Ok, I've opened myself up for some fun to be poked my way.... Be great to hear all the ideas, good, bad, sarcastic etc! 😀

Best wishes and regards
Martin

You could turn off "always on" (assuming your model of Apple Watch does that) and just have it appear to be a fancy large bracelet …

I don't think there are any faces which do not show time, but you could choose those which time display is dominated by something else, e.g., Astronomy with the Earth or Moon, Solar Graph, Solar Dial, Portraits (depending upon the photos you choose for this), Breathe, Kaleidoscope, …

Or, if you go with the Solar Dial, point out to those who ask how that face is a challenge to traditional watchmakers: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/t...watch-solar-face-and-the-anatomy-of-nightfall

As happy as I am for my Explorer and Speedmaster, I just haven't been able to double wrist.

My solution to keep my rings was just to adjust the stand ring to 6 hours (not that I have a hard time standing up). Then my daily run will close the two rings and I can wear my mechanical watch to work if I like

I had to look up the pro watch!

Generally, the US Military does not mass issue watches. Mostly personnel buy whatever they want, and can get away with. Mil Specs are public record, not too tricky for manufacturers to meet. Getting a watch CERTIFIED for procurement with government funds can be very expensive, and even then, military personnel generally buy their own.

There are rules pertaining to wearing watches in the uniform dress regulations. For example, Marines and Navy say, in summary, that big, fat, armored, blinky, alarmy, flashy, fashion gizmoids are not allowed when in uniform. Apart from that, it will depend on unit leadership.

And the miltary has a particular distaste for radio emissive gadgets, which have compromised strength and disposition of forces. Give up your position on patrol to a drone scanning for RF, and you could encounter quite a variety of adverse conditions. If you live.

I don’t think it has anything to do with military but it is robust but then again Ultra is also very robust. It has a great battery life and two things that surprisingly AW can’t do which is show steps you walk in real time, 24-7, and broadcast heart rate to bike computer.
Aren't there a ton of step-counting apps to use as complications? But agree more of that data should be available as complications for us data-nerds

Yes, but it doesn’t update in real time. Not even close. Twofold reason: first Health doesn’t publish steps increase very often. Every few minutes or sometimes tens of minutes, second the complications can’t refresh every second or sometimes not even every few minutes. It drives me crazy. Apple does it for battery reasons but still how is this advanced super smart computer if it can process all the data but doesn’t want to refresh screen to show data because of battery issues. Also heart rate, while it has the most reliable and accurate wrist based heart rate detection it also doesn’t register data in real time, not even close unless you are exercising. Ridiculous.
