Doubt about waiting for the mbp OLED/ultra, or grabbing a m5 now

I can get a m5 MBP 25/1tb for 1580€ by trading my MacBook in (third party store). It seems like a great deal, but

1) it's WiFi 6E and I'd like to keep the Mac for 5 years at least

2) I've been waiting for the redesign for a while since the sharp and high edges of current MBP hurt my wrists a lot.

But if the price starts at 3000€... I'm not sure I'm ready to shell out 1300€+

And I'm afraid with ram price increase it might even be more expensive

Do you need a new MacBook now? Or could you hold off and wait? I know you'll still be able to get M5 models from retailers after the new MacBoo comes out.

But, not sure how that would impact your trade in value.

I just traded in my M4 MBA 16/512 to Best Buy and they gave me $800. I paid $999 for it in July.

I hear ya lol. I didn't need to do my trade in to get a m5 MBP but I wanted the nice screen lol.
