downgrade 3GS 5.1 baseband?

is there anyway to downgrade a 3GS's baseband that's on 5.1?

Yes, download the latest version of Redsn0w. A link can be found on Musclenerd's twitter profile that will give instructions on how to downgrade from any baseband including the iPad 6.15 baseband.

it's the baseband that comes with 5.1 (sorry I forget the basband it's my gf's brothers phone)

If I recall, you have to update to the iPad base band first, then follow the tutorial to downgrade.

ah I'm with ya..... shall have to get in touch an get him round here an sort him out if he has a 3GS before week 34

Just check digits 3-5 of the serial number to tell when it was manufactured.
