Downgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.1?

I broke my baseband, and upgrading to 1.1.1 seems the only option to restore it, but i dont want a bricked phone. Has someone tried downgrading to 1.0.1? does 1.0.1 it contain a modem update? thanks!
