Why would you? Beta 4 is better in every way I've explored.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 ---------- If it's still being signed by Apple, it'll install just fine... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
You could try shift-restoring to the B3 ipsw file but why would you? B4 has a lot of fixes that plagued B3.
The question was can it be done, not WHY one would do it. Just because it works prime on your device doesn't mean the situation is the same with all users.
Yes, of course, but I think people are suggesting that perhaps by providing more information as to the problems he's experiencing, they may be able to help him avoid unnecessarily downgrading.
One of the first things you should do when providing someone assistance is to understand the cause of their problem. Just answering a question does not always solve their problem.
You can. I downgraded from beta 3 to beta 2. Beta 3 is absolutely terrible, though. Not receiving phone calls was enough to scrap beta 3 entirely.
I am not the OP, nor do I know why he is interested in downgrading. However, the issue of not being able to pause/skip tracks via headphones in the music app is quite frustrating but not a dealbreaker. With beta 4 I feel much more comfortable using the beta on a daily device now. Even though I have been anyways.
I can deal with the borked headphone controls. I couldnt deal with the black outs, missed notification and the lousy slide to reply mechanism when music was playing.
I've had quite the opposite experience on my 4S. Beta 3 was buggy as hell, but Beta 4 is buttery smooth!
iTunes doesn't work properly, battery life is horrible, notifications are a hit and miss. It is smooth and looks great though.
I'm not a developer but I really want to make a "ios7 betas are for developers and not for your everyday phone" comment. Guess I just did.
That's interesting falcon, all the betas have been getting progressively better for me, hey whatever works tho right. My battery was ridiculously ****** in beta 1, now beta 4 my battery almost seems better than ios 6 if not.
I actually think beta 2 had the best battery life. Maybe it was just because beta 1 had the worst battery life so the difference was huge though
