Dear all,

I purchased an iPhone 3GS with the firmware 3.1.3

I've recently upgraded my OS not realising the problems afterwards, i wanted to know is there anyway to bypass the Apple Servers to restore back down from OS 4.0.2 to 3.1.3 or that's it i'm stuck with OS 4.0 my whole life!

Look forward to any responses!

Regards,

ColdAsIce

(Tried different bit's and pieces on the web unable to do so!

My mistake...

I thought you had a 3G. The method above does not work with 3GS.

It is strange, though. Most people with 3GS say that their phones work fine with 4.0. I played around with a friend's 3GS with 4.0, and I performed great, multitasking included.

Maybe if you restore it to factory settings and then set it as a new phone... that might do the trick.
