iPhone 11 Pro Max Downgrade iPhone - Anything to be aware of?

My current iPhone 11 Pro Max currently backs up to iCloud - I am currently using around 50GB of data on the handset.

I will be upgrading to the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I have a good offer on my current handset - hence are there any ill effects of restoring my handset to an iPhone 8 Plus for the meantime, then upgrading to the iPhone 13 when its available??

Other then FaceID etc of course, everything should work just the same?

Not a problem. iPhone 8 works great on the latest version of iOS 14.
Backups are device agnostic as are the apps' data they contain.
