I currently have an iPad Air 2 (WiFi, 64GB), but have not used it that much over the last couple months and even before that it was primarily only used as my 5e character sheet and as a .pdf reader. I'm considering moving down to an iPad mini 4 for the purposes of using it mainly for games and light browsing. I had considered keeping the Air 2 for the same purpose, but think the mini 4 may be more comfortable for gaming, especially on the go.

I know that the Air 2 has a better processor, but, as far as I can tell, everything else is pretty much the same (other than the size). Is there something else I may be missing? Or has anyone had a similar debate and could share their opinions on one vs. the other?

I owned a mini 4 and air 2 at the same time. Ended up refunding the mini 4 and keeping the air 2. Why? The air 2 had a better and bigger screen, better battery life, and was noticeably faster. The mini 4 wore my eyes out, and many times, it felt as if I was using a glorified iPhone 6 (which I also own.) Air 2 all the way! No regrets here.
