Downgrade WatchOS?

Is it still true that there is absolutely no way to downgrade an Apple Watch to a previous version of watchOS? No factory reset to an older system image, not when pairing with an older phone, nothing?

Not entirely true, you can send it to Apple for this (for example if you have installed a beta and want to go back)

There is no downgrade path for user to go to for watchOS downgrade, unlike ios for iphone and ipad, or macOS for macs.
