Has anything changed since? can i update from iOS 18.1 beta to ios 18 now?
Am i Forever doomed to lose my data? I can wait to iOS 18.1 if needed but i want to know if I even have a chance..

Nope, nothing changed. You have two options:
  • Wipe your phone and reinstall iOS 18. You'll lose your data unless you have a backup from before you upgraded to iOS 18.1. (You'll still lose stuff created/changed between then and now.)
  • Wait until next month for the final release of iOS 18.1.

Yes, you'll be able to update to the final version of iOS 18.1 with no data loss. It'll just be like a regular update as if you weren't in the beta. Be sure to remember to turn off the beta updates if you don't want to receive them anymore.
