I had the 2018 iPad Pro 11‘ in use with the Keyboard folio, in 2020 I switched to the 12.9 with a magic keyboard. I really love the magic keyboard but I very much miss using the iPad as a tablet. The magic keyboard can’t be folded back, resulting in me using it as a laptop.

I was wondering, are there others downgrading from the magic keyboard back to the keyboard folio?

The cool thing about the Magic Keyboard is it attaches magnetically. You can just pull the iPad right off to use it as a tablet.

Right you are! But, then many of us want to stick it in another simple folio for pure tablet, in hand use. The Logitech Combo appears to act as a keyboard folio, and a simple, protective folio. I have not seen one in person. But would like to check one out.

I had a similar thought but the iPad is so easy to detach I bought an inexpensive folio from Amazon, about $25 I believe, it‘s identical to the Apple one and I can just pop it into it when I want to take the device out with me or just don’t need a keyboard at that moment. Both are based on magnets so its a 30 second operation at most.

Thanks for the heads up! I wanted something just like that, but I hate removing them from a bumper case. I also don't like running it commando, makes me a bit nervous.

I have ordered the Touch Combo, but also have the MKB. It just makes the iPad too heavy some times for what I need to do.

The Touch Combo is a nice case, It's biggest pro is the functions keys row... use it all the time. Each of the case/keyboards has it's pros/cons. In the end it just depends what you want to use for. (if I'm traveling, the TC is better for my use, just a little heavy. Though the bumper protection is excellent)

I had similar thoughts. If I didn’t already have a Magic Keyboard and really wanted something similar I would seriously consider that Combo, both for the price as well as just being able to detach and still have a case with a prop stand on it. That’s very appealing. But most of the time I use my current iPP on my lap, either on a pillow or on a lap desk supported by a pillow. That Combo with everything attached and the stand extended would be too large to be supported that way. On a table top or an actual desk it would work very well but I almost never use mine that way. So I thought I’d compromise with the folio I purchased, very light, thin and much cheaper than Apple’s version. That way I can quickly pop it in and go without having to snap the iPP into anything and then struggle with getting it out again when I return.
