Downgrading to iPhone 3G iOS4

What's the best method to downgrade/reflash/hack an iPhone 3G that has iOS4 in order to install iPHone OS 3.1.3?

I'm finding iOS4 unusable sluggish.




(Edit, in title I meant 3.1.3, not 4 - obviously)
