Download but NOT install updates

Is there a way to download but not install mac updates ( example Safari ) through Mavericks.

We have 7 macs and it would be good not to have to download the update for each one.

I was actually wanting to find a way to download ANY update ( i used Safari as an example ). I believe there is a way of doing it through the terminal but haven't found it through googling it.
