Exactly how long is Lion supposed to take to download?

I understand this is subject to my internet broadband connection, however my connection is rather decent/fast, normally. Now the Lion is acting like a Turtle.

And not that i'm there yet, but perhaps someone can tell me, how long will it take to install Lion? I'm using a 2010 (mid summer) macbook pro 13".

Thanks in advance.

Mine took about 4 hours (really a lot)
I have a 20Mbps internet speed (real 1.8MB/s) which should take not more than 1 hour.

I made a clean install which took about 35 minutes (not counting the time to boot the install manager) on my MacBook Pro 17" 2010 8GBRAM 500GB Hybrid HDD.

I'm on Comcast with a download speed of 22.7 Mbps and downloaded lion in less than an hour. Once I created a restore drive on my flash drive I was able to install it in around 25 minutes.

I did an erase and reinstall from the Lion recovery partition. It took 1,5 h from erasing the disk till I was up and running again on a 7 Mbits connection.

I'm not even gonna bother trying to download Lion right now. My parents home has frustratingly slow internet with 20KB/s download :( so it will take days! Guess I have to wait till i go home to my superfast 100MB broadband after summer to enjoy it!! :D

30 mins to dl and 15 to install ( clean forn ext usb HD )

same time from recovery partition

100 mb Broadband so mine is pretty good :D

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

It took about 2.5 hours on my 3Mbps service to download. Then about 35 mins to install.

1 1/2 hours to DL, 30 minutes to install. an almost-exact 2 hours total (i got to read a book, and be OFF the computer for a whole 2 hours LOL).

Thank you for all the replies.

It finally completed like 3 hours ago, and the install took indeed approximately 35 minutes.

Now riddle me this, how come my computer is slower than it was before (SL). I thought this was supposed to make everything better:S

Mine was slow at first too, try rebooting. Mine now feels like it runs a lot faster and is even more responsive to everything I do.

There's already a thread about this, but mine took 90 minutes or so both times on an 8mbps Comcast connection. It didn't max out the connection, but came close, for whatever reason. Install was probably 30 minutes or less. Shorter on my MBP, since it has an i7 and SSD.
