I'm using iMovie 11 9.0.4 (1635) and Quick Time Player 10.1 (501).

I'm trying to upload Mod video format files from a DVD without success.

How do I convert these to a format which QTP and iMovie recognise?

Got Mac for Chrimbo so only a learner - dead simple info / advice would be most welcome!

Thanks in anticipation.http://cdn.macrumors.com/vb/images/smilies/eek.gif

Do you still have the camera you recorded these DVDs on?
Maybe you can give MPEG Streamclip a go, but you probably need an additional plugin.

Yes, I still have the camera - it's a Cannon FS100

Then insert the DVD inside the camera and connect the camera via USB to the Mac (if possible) and set the camera into PLAY mode and use iMovie and its IMPORT FROM CAMERA to import the footage.

What about that thread title?

Sorry - camera doesn't have DVD drive. I downloaded from camera to DVD and can't reverse the process.

Title altered!

Do you still know, how you got the footage from the camera to the DVD?
Do you still have the footage on the SD cards one uses to record video on this camera?

Maybe this can help: http://forums.3ivx.com/index.php?showtopic=83964

As for a descriptive thread title: How to get .mod files into iMovie version XY?
