Why?! I would rather have the confirmation directly from the Dev Team than download something prematurely from some unknown person.

It gives them a sense of empowerment is my guess... It makes them feel good about living in their parents basement.
I'll be blunt: why do we need to go some random blog (probably yours) to get something we can get directly from the iphone dev team??????????? Because I sure as heck don't trust some blog all covered in ads that just reports on others' tweets and posts. Less signal to noise ratio would be better.

Ok, let's see you guys download the client from his site. Don't come back later crying because your iPhone is doing something is not supposed to... it's simple. URLs like that are a danger.
Like the poster above me stated, just download the files directly from the Dev Team's blog. If it isn't on their site, why download it? Don't trust anyone else. It's Common Sense, but apparently some people have a huge lack of it.

If you had bothered to actually check the link out, it leads to a blog post explaining things with a link to the dev team website.
If i were to read anything about JB then i would rather go directly to their website. Why not just link it to the dev team in the first place?

Probably should have said this initially. No reason for the feminine tirade. Those with common sense would have been able to put it all together.
Fail. The link of the ops post was just the update to the beta, not the link to the dev teams 5 page post that has the updates buried in the bottom. Thus, the link in the original post that takes you to the actual post after informing the reader of the actual update.
Don't you people have any common sense?

I will add that the Dev-Team blog is a mess and because they don't date their entries, you have no idea what the hell's going on and when. I always feel I know less after having read it.
