Why?! I would rather have the confirmation directly from the Dev Team than download something prematurely from some unknown person.

Really? What do you want? A cookie for having the big thread? Move along. Don't release stuff before it's bounded to.

people can be such ass on these boards.

I was waiting for this release for a long time. If you haven't downloaded, download the beta 4 from here http://goo.gl/fb/YLJks

I'll be blunt: why do we need to go some random blog (probably yours) to get something we can get directly from the iphone dev team??????????? Because I sure as heck don't trust some blog all covered in ads that just reports on others' tweets and posts. Less signal to noise ratio would be better.

Here is the iphone dev team's site where you can get reliable news and releases at: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

Let me guess why we need to go to the url you posted: you are trying to drive ad impressions on your site. I swear everyone and their dog has an iphone site these days.

Considering your rank is newbie that is exactly why you posted on this. I'm sure we can count on more posts of yours driving us to this specific site.

It gives them a sense of empowerment is my guess... It makes them feel good about living in their parents basement.

Ok, let's see you guys download the client from his site. Don't come back later crying because your iPhone is doing something is not supposed to... it's simple. URLs like that are a danger.

Like the poster above me stated, just download the files directly from the Dev Team's blog. If it isn't on their site, why download it? Don't trust anyone else. It's Common Sense, but apparently some people have a huge lack of it.

God, you fail at humanity.

If you had bothered to actually check the link out, it leads to a blog post explaining things with a link to the dev team website.

If i were to read anything about JB then i would rather go directly to their website. Why not just link it to the dev team in the first place?

Plus it is still beta. Don't post something misleading. Too many people will try this and screw their phones up because they have no idea what they are doing.

I think this poster nailed it directly.

Your move chuckles...

Probably should have said this initially. No reason for the feminine tirade. Those with common sense would have been able to put it all together.

Fail. The link of the ops post was just the update to the beta, not the link to the dev teams 5 page post that has the updates buried in the bottom. Thus, the link in the original post that takes you to the actual post after informing the reader of the actual update.

Don't you people have any common sense?

EDIT: looks like Pared beat me to it.

LOL - nice Pared. Must be that time of the month.

Yet again, a thread about one thing devolves into a flame war and utterly fails to discuss topic.

I will add that the Dev-Team blog is a mess and because they don't date their entries, you have no idea what the hell's going on and when. I always feel I know less after having read it.

OT: Yes, they're getting closer to getting a release that most people won't be able to use because of the 4.2b3 shsh blolbs needed.

Geez this guy is a new guy trying to join in and be helpful.

Don't go on and start flaming him. If he is doing something wrong it's probably because he is new.
