Downloaded material -NOT SURE WHERE TO GO 4 THIS??? SORRY

    Hi everyone....

    I am so sorry, can't figure out where to put this.

    I am downloading something, but it says it is a Windows product. It's an article. Sometimes, after I download things & click on open, it opens up in Text Edit with all messed up there a way around this, without having to install Bootcamp? I attached part of it maybe someone can understand what I'm asking easier with pic.

    Let me there a way around this, that is FREE???

    You all have helped me figure out so many different things, I can't thank everyone enough. Thanks for your patience as well.

    Is it a .exe?
    If so, these are windows executables and must be run in windows. There are windows emulators (Wine, etc) but these are slow and clunky. If you have a windows install disk then you can download VirtualBox and run windows in a virtual machine.

    Could you please provide the link to the file. The extension on the file is what is important here. You state that it is a document. It sounds more like how you downloaded the file than the file itself. Try right clicking on the file and using the "save as" option.
