I took a class and would like to save the videos from them (they used to be in person and I always taped them but now with covid...). We each got a specific login with password. Is there a way I can download them?

I've tried Clipgrab and Downie, but they both seem to get hung up on the password, even though I am logged into the recording.

Thank you!

Have you considered asking whoever is hosting the class to make to make the recordings available for streaming and downloading? It's quite easy to enable cloud recording with Zoom.

Zoom - Cloud recording
Yes, they made them available but for just 30 days. I came into the class late and have been so slammed with work that I didn't get a chance to review it (and it was the one I really wanted to see so....)

So the video is now only available for streaming, and can no longer be downloaded?

They didn't give a download option, just streaming via a weblink (though that does say Zoom).

In any case, I think I got it to work! Firefox, right click, save as. Brave and Chrome wouldn't do it. It looks ok, hopefully it plays well this week when I am able to sit down and watch.

Thanks!

Well that's a bummer. First week worked fine that way. Second week, I guess they figured out how to disable right-click :(

A little technical (you need to use youtube-dl in the terminal...) but worked flawlessly for me.

I think my problem has been they are passworded

Pay attention to the suggestion on Downie - grab it, and try it with your streaming files. Works well, even with password protected files. If it doesn't work by default, try the 'User Guided Extraction' option.......
