Just a quick question.

Finally backed up my Mac, started to download Mavericks but forgot to verify my disk via disk utility. Tried to cancel the Mavericks download so I could verify but apparently you can't do it through the App Store so left it running - it's still downloading now - and I ran disk utility to verify my HDD.

Just wondering if that could interfere with the download or should the install be fine?

Thanks

Either way, I'd now leave it to complete...Any errors should be picked up, and you can run DU post installation.

Yeah, am doing now. Just I've already ran it 15mins or so into the download. Just wanna know if it's likely that could affect the download or not.

Okay thanks. Will Apple verify the install like it does with iOS? Just wanna check I don't install a broken OS you see.

If you are getting it direct from recovery mode you won't get a bad copy. It should verify the DL when it's complete, but it's fast...then it starts the installation which should take around 40 mins or so.
