I've been trying to download pics off of the internet. I right click, save as, then I choose a certain file. The file name would be something like BMWm3v1.jpg and at the bottom its saved as a "JPEG Picture". If I try to re-name the file before saving it to lets say BMWM31234, it'll save as some random attachment and not a .jpeg.

Please help!

Have you tried just to drag the picture from the internet to your desktop (or another folder) and then rename it?

I just did that and it saved it as a JPEG, but there has to be an easier way then to save as then download it, then go to the file and rename it.

How do I rename it, anyways?

To rename it, once the image is selected (short click on the image), just click on its name.

When you are saving the image with right click + "save image as" - you can uncheck the "hide extension" option in the bottom of the box to make sure it's being saved with the extension you want.

Where is this?

There are apps that will rename for you, and add .jpg suffix for example

I use Name Mangler.

For batch downloading, I use firefox with BatchDownload add-on
