I’d like to download YouTube and Vimeo videos while using my iPad. Do I need a third party app? How is this done?

In short, you need to go to an online YouTube downloader (that’s browser based).
After entering the video url and the video is extracted, you need an app like Readdle or GoodReader (I use GoodReader) and enter the extracted url there. Will download.
