Downloads from iTunes extremely slow today (Christmas Day)

I purchase a movie from iTunes today, in order for the kids to have something new to watch, while we were going to have adult conversation with our guests. It took close to five hours to download, when normally it would have taken only between 20 and 30 min.

Everybody and their grandmothers must be taxing the servers really hard today, what with the many Apple TVs, iPhones, iPads and iTunes gift cards they received today.

Everything is closed today, except online so, Apple's servers must be smoking.

Nintendo's online store was completely down, as was Steam for much of the day.

It's all the "cool kids" clogging things up which is no surprise.

Just think how bad it'd be of this were a holiday 🙂

Just think how bad it would be if the iTunes Store were run by the same people running Obamacare. My kids were eventually able to watch their movie, without intervening errors.
