I'm really at my wits end here with this problem, so I thought I would give you guys a try - I've seen a lot of good advice on this forum before!
I'm a DJ so I download a large amount of music, but around 3 days ago, when downloading a track via Chrome (from sites such as mediafire and zippyshare), the download would halt after roughly a minute. The download bar would freeze and the 'eta' would go up minute by minute.
After changing my DNS settings and adding servers '4.2.2.2' and '4.2.2.1' (as seen on here), I tried Firefox - and it worked fine until the next day. The downloads on Firefox now halt after about a minute also.
I've tried my housemates' laptops and all downloads work fine, so I'm assuming it's something with this Mac. It's be great if I could get some help!!
Connection details:
Virgin Media Broadband (upto 30mb) - wireless connection.
Download speeds av. at 3440Kbps - but when calculating, the download speed varied massively from around 400Kbps to 8000kbps?
