I just downloaded Open office and when it was finished I got an "error" message saying that it had nothing to go to. It was the version for Mac ox system.

Need more detail. What exactly was the error message? What version of OS X do you have?
The verison I have is 10.5.6
The messages were....

Yes, I have an intel mac, I just purchased it on Tuesday. I have downloaded open office 2x and got message errors. I am now goung to download Neo Office.
