Anyone able to tell me how much space a clean install of Yosemite takes up?

Not sure specifically, but it will take up more space than a clean install of Mavericks, since there is extra code in the DP builds for bug/error reporting. To be safe, I'd say 20-25GB of free space is needed at a minimum.

I did a clean install and mine currently takes up just under 16GB.

I have pages, numbers and keynote installed which accounts for about 1GB+ so its somewhere in the order of 15GB.

Yup, Yosemite (and nothing else) uses about 15GB on my external HDD.
 
Thanks for the responses, not as high as I thought it would be, running short on GB constantly !
 
Just installed it & it's using 10.47gb according to my iStat Menus, if anyone else is interested!
