For someone that wants to update over PB2 - I installed it (DP7 delta) over PB2 -- it works. But mentioned the WiFi Tx Rate issue is returned back--- the speed drops to 280 and jump to 1170/1300 after that again to 280.. with DP6 and PB2 -- it was stable non stop 1300 Mbps

WiFi is the most important thing for me, I hope this isn't a problem on my end.

You shouldn't mix the public betas with developer previews.

They come from different programs and updates should only be applied to an installation if they come from the same program, not different ones.

The only exception to this will be the golden master (assuming both public beta testers and developers get this).

Everything works except Kakaotalk Messenger (asking for proper internet connection).

Rest is working: PB 2 → DP 7

Think it was confirmed other than version name the public beta and the developer edition are completely identical.

I think Apple is still trying to figure out the WiFi drivers. They seem to get progressively worse though instead of better.

You're just causing unnecessary headache for yourself. Masochistic much?

I mean all of us running DP/PB have it a little bit... but to go yoyo'ing between the two? Totally new heights.

PB3 will likely be out next week anyway.

If you go from PB to DP you'll destroy the build-in update mechanism, which means no auto-updating to either new Developer Previews or Public Previews. You'll have to find, download and install them manually from somewhere. So take that into account before attempting anything.

Well I've went from DP (whichever last was before PB1) to PB and updated to PB2 through App Store without any problems.

For the sake of useful bug reports, if a developer wants to run the developer previews AND the public betas that's fine. But he or she should keep them separate on different partitions, virtual machines or external drives and only update them with updates pertaining to the respective programs from whence they came.

Mixing up the DPs with the PBs will make bug reports to apple essentially useless because in so doing you may be introducing your own bugs by misusing the updates for purposes for which they were not intended.

And people who went from PB to DP reported the App Store wouldn't display the proper updates anymore.

Really don't understand why people go from DP to PB. The builds are identical and the DP is updated more frequently.

I moved from DP6 to PB2 because of the WiFi Tx rate issue.. With PB2 it is stable 1300 Mbps, no fluctuations at all, but with DP6 and DP7 - it drops to 260-280 every other second
