Dr Who!

A UK only thing I assume? Pity. Looks pretty cool but it'll probably take ages to get here and only play at 4:00 AM on BBC America, or something equally cool.

Some great one liners in there! I like the one about the Lion King. The Prime Minister realising that the Royal Family were on the roof was good, too.
 
Ita shame Americans etc have to either wait to watch it on BBC America or download it illegally(where its available now apparently)still the Beeb is talking about posting stuff legally in the near future.
 
it was very very good I though. RTD could be my favourite writer. the way he made Tennant out to be this weak sapling to have him fight was just brilliant. though I though that was the sluggiest sword fight ever 😀

but the end! that stupid PM! I felt a chill down my spine when the guy said that Torchwood was ready... I was even looking for the new Badwolf reference! "dont you think she's looking tired?" or whatever. at first i thought Torchwood was the new Badwolf... we'll see.

amazing. March can't come any quicker 😀

but the whole British thing was just brilliant! tea revived him! and the politics Iraq war stab was genius 😀

OH! I was going to say last night... its not Dr. Who, its Doctor Who

It's not a prefix. a prefix would be followed by a name - Dr. Evil or Dr. Robotnic. he IS the Doctor. Who isn't his name, its mean to be like "Your name... doctor... who?" *opening the field for the Doctor to fill in his name*.

sorry to be picky but y'know... its the Doctor! 😀
 
I enjoyed it a lot!

David Tennent is great as the new Doctor, although Christopher E. was also a great Doctor. I'll miss him.

Torchwood was pretty awesome. But why was it activated? and then Harriot Jones made out to be a bad person? She's great BTW.

Did Roses' mom gain some weight?

Overall, it was a fantastic start. Funny as usual, too.

Have the episode, haven't had time to watch it yet - looking forward to it though!

For any Doctor Who fans, keep in mind this thread was started a while ago now and there have been some excellent discussions! 😎

Torchwood is the spin-off series starring Captain Jack (Have I got that name right?) which will be on BBC3 only. Its also an anagram of Doctor Who......

Starts in the spring. I think its essentially an Earth Defence Team....

I'll check it out for sure, but I don't have my hopes up, only because of the whole "K-9 and Company" thing a long time ago.... 😉

You're not wrong... I've tried to forget that particular travesty!!
You know K-9 (in his original form) makes a come back in the new series? As well as one of his old assistants....

Yep, K-9 and Sarah Jane Smith - should be good! We already chatted about it some time ago here. Looking forward to seeing the return of the Cybermen as well. 😎
