I'm interested in buying an aluminum bumper for my iPhone 6. I'm concerned about how it will effect the signal both LTE and WIFI. These are the models I'm looking at.

1. Draco Ventare 6X Aluminum Bumper (Luxury Silver)

2. Draco Ducati 6 Aluminum Bumper

3. Draco Tigris Aluminum Bumper

The first two model seem to have a polycarbonate insert top and bottom to help the signal. I'm not sure whether the Ventare is a polycarbonate insert.

If anyone has one of these bumpers or has information about one or more of them please let me know how it does handling the phones signal strength.

Well I guess the 208 that looked at this post and the many more who read the thread title do not own any of the three bumpers listed, are not interested in them or don't want to comment on them. I guess if I buy one it will be without help or information.

I got the aluminum bumper for the 6 plus. The signal is not going to be affected that much because the antennas are on the back of the device.

May I ask which of the three bumpers I listed do you have that doesn't effect the signal?

I don't understand your generalization that aluminum bumpers don't effect signal because the antennas are on the back. Amazon reviews of many aluminum bumpers are filled with statements of very significant signal degradation caused by aluminum "bumpers" that don't cover the back. I own a Spigen aluminum bumper that kills my signal completely in some places where my bare phone or my phone with a plastic case gets even an LTE signal or a strong 4G.

I know some Manufacturers of aluminum bumpers are able to keep a strong signal. Element case has achieved that. Some of the above listed cases have polycarbonate parts, so I want to know if that maintains a good signal. That said, I thank you for your input and again I ask do you own one of the three I listed?

I have full signal in my area so it did not affect me as it did in your case, it all depends on your signal strength.

That's what I thought also when I ordered the Verus Iron Shield which has a plastic back. The signal in my apartment usually hovers around 3 bars. I put the case on an watched my signal indicators slowly countdown from 3,2,1, no signal.

That put an end to my foray into anything metal on my iPhone. Tried several in the past with same results.

I'd say, if you are a strong 4/5 bars in most places you need to use the phone, go for it. Otherwise, expect signal degradation.

I know for a fact Element sector cases don't effect signal at all. Their last models for the iPhone 4 didn't effect signal, It's been true of all their aluminum bumpers and cases since. I've had four and my current case is a Sector Pro for iPhone 6. I just want some variety and seeing the polycarbonate components I thought they may have solved the signal issues as their Ducati 6 model description states.

I don't have experience with any of the Sector line but I can say the Vapor wiped out my signal reception (cell/BT/Wifi) on my 4/S. Once again, how much (if any) reduction is totally based on signal strength in your area. But in my area of NYC, it's best I stay away from anything metal-based. ;)

I never seen or tried metal case that has not effected signal to some degree.

Try the Element Sector Pro. It has polycarbonate spacers. In my opinion it slightly improves the signal over no case. I would bet on it.
