Not tempted at all...still on my bed with my MBP and doing everything with the trackpad.....one handed obviously... :)

Can anyone explain to me why the Mail app has not been updated to do multitasking and drag and drop in the app itself?

For example, if I start a new email message and want to drag and drop an attachment from another email I received there is no way of doing this. Once a new email message is opened you can't click on the emails in the background.

Furthermore, attachments are still embedded in the email messages as opposed to being accessible as files as they are in Outlook (ie you have to scroll to the bottom of an email to find the attachment).

Why isn't Apple giving the Mail app a proper update? It's basically been the same for 10 years.

Hi I’m trying to figure something out in iOS 11 on iPad. If I launch one app and then want to have another app in split view, I can only do it if the other app is in my dock. How do I use split view when the 2nd app is not in the dock. Previously you could swipe from right and scroll through all supported apps.

Open the one app, then the other. Swipe up, app 1 is now in the dock.
[doublepost=1505908450][/doublepost]Anyone else getting tab opening loops? Seems to be a side effect of the new iTunes not having an app store. (Using Chrome).

This could be a nice feature, but I've found some problems with the implementation. Some sites (sweetwater.com for example), allow you to hold on an image to zoom in. iOS 11's default is to grab that image for drag and drop. It's made surfing these kind of sites a little frustrating.

Microsoft hasn't caught up to that yet, either. I tried using it with OneNote last night and it didn't work.

I’m curious why I can't drag and drop from Photos to the Pages app.
I’m using an iPad Air 2
Am I doing something wrong?

I think I found the problem.

Pages 3.3 is the version that is updated for drag and drop. I just checked the version number on my iPad and it is 3.2, however, when I go to the app store, it says Pages doesn't need to be updated. I went ahead and deleted the Pages app and re-downloaded it from the app store... and now its working. I'm sure at some point the iPad will recognize that there is an update, but for now that's how I solved the problem

Why do you need to zip stuff on an iPad? Half the filetypes mentioned rarely exceed 1MB and most of the other half are already compressed and won't benefit from being zipped. On a desktop, yes, zipping 1000 items into a package is useful. Less so on an iPad where each item has to be manually added.

For me, zipped will be nice for the UNZIPPING part more than anything. Also it can be useful for a packet of items you have to send often.

Different people have different use cases.

I know you all ready solved but for you and others with a similar issue in future. The App Store doesn't always refresh properly when you open it. Pull down to refresh and you'll see the available updates.
