Drag files to Finder toolbar?

    It seems it's no longer possible to drag files or applications to the Finder toolbar to create shortcuts. Or is that just here?

    That doesn't work for me either. I'm fairly certain that's no longer possible.

    Out of curiosity, why would that be important when you can drag files and applications to the dock or create shortcuts on the desktop?

    It works the same as Mavericks :

    Start dragging the item, press the Cmd key.

    I use it for applications. Dragging files to the toolbar to open them is much quicker than dragging them to the dock or to the desktop.

    I wasn't aware of the cmd key part. That does indeed still work. (It must have worked earlier by dragging alone, though, or I wouldn't have been able to create my current toolbar short cuts). Thanks for the info!
