Okey, so I posted the same issue some time ago, and some how it sorted itself out (after fiddling with the DNS setup)
Now that I've gotten a MacBook Pro the same darn thing is happening, and I just cannot figure it out.
DW tells me the login info is wrong, which it isn't. So SOMETHING is blocking the traffick. I've copied the details from my old mac as far as DW is concerned, so me thinks it is the "sharing"-settings that is causing problems.
But just to make sure:
FTP
FTP Host: ftp.mywebsitename.com
Host directory: <blank>
Login: Username (correct)
Password: Password (correct)
Use passice FTP: Checked/ticked
Rest unchecked.
Firewall settings: (excerpts)
FTP timeout: 300 sec
Firewallport: 0
______
Also: In "Sharing" on Leopard I've activated file sharing with FTP.
WHAT could it be? Please help...
