Drive Dissappeared After Upgrade

Hey:

I just upgraded to the 10.4.9 thingy... and my USB drive disappeared. I have cycled the iMac and the HD (Seagate) seperately... nada.

I show power on the seagate... but the icon is gone from my Desktop and finder...

How can I get this back?

Watch and see if it does it again. I had a imac g5 that routinely would seem some drives only once in a while.

Just a suggestion. Unplug the USB drive, turn on the Mac, then plug in the USB drive. If that doesn't work, plug into a different USB port.

How about this, try to reset the PRAM. It's better to try something than nothing.

i had the same issue. i just powered-off my external enclosure & powered-back on. it's just easier for me rather than unplugging. i'm sure it will be the same thing though.
