carfac macrumors 65816 Original poster Mar 14, 2007 #1 Hey: I just upgraded to the 10.4.9 thingy... and my USB drive disappeared. I have cycled the iMac and the HD (Seagate) seperately... nada. I show power on the seagate... but the icon is gone from my Desktop and finder... How can I get this back? Dave

maccompaq macrumors 65816 Mar 15, 2007 #4 Just a suggestion. Unplug the USB drive, turn on the Mac, then plug in the USB drive. If that doesn't work, plug into a different USB port.

rhoydotp macrumors 6502 Mar 15, 2007 #7 i had the same issue. i just powered-off my external enclosure & powered-back on. it's just easier for me rather than unplugging. i'm sure it will be the same thing though.
