That's nothing compared to driving under an overpass just as a plow goes by during a "wintry mix"

That has happened to me. I was riding with my brother in his truck, and we went under an overpass on the highway at the exact instant that a plowful of slush and wet snow dumped on the hood and windshield - it was actually rather frightening; for an instant I could have been sure the windshielf would break.

And on the freeway, trucks are the worse, as they can create a high enough splash to completely cover your windshield. Your blinded for a few seconds.

And to make it worse, we(truck drivers) don't have as much room to move around in the lane. It also takes a lot longer for us to slow down. Changing lanes in a hurry is rarely an option because every driver immediately behind us wants to pass us first, you know, don't wanna be stuck behind the big slow truck and all.

We do have one big advantage though, visibility, even in the rain. Unless it is one of those southern/midwest downpours, we can see over all the cars and the water they kick up and see much further than the car drivers can. Now if we could just stop like a car...

I'm lost.

In the video she says "I didn't see the puddle." (00:21) but then she said that if she would have swerved she would have caused an accident.

More interestingly, this made the news why? She failed, big deal, get over it and move on. It's clearly there in the Road Traffic Act.

Hopefully she doesn't take her next test after or during a rainfall.
