I just connected my old canon s9000 printer to my new MacBook Pro. I am trying to print using the Aperture 3 software. OS X found and installed a driver automatically. It contains most of what I need (selecting paper size, orientation, checking status of ink, doing maintenance), but is missing a crucial pull down menu to allow for choice of paper. The online
manual indicates there's a pull down menu "quality and media" to select paper, that you get after the file/print pull down menus. This menu doesn't appear on my print window.
I can print photos, but they are streaky because (I assume) I haven't been able to choose the paper type.
Any ideas to find it? I don't think I am missing it. Perhaps downloading the drivers from the canon website and reinstalling?
