throAU macrumors G4 Oct 15, 2012 #2 Kernel panics = generally memory or other hardware problems. removing the kernel module will most likely NOT fix the root cause of your problem.

Just be careful about removing kext files needed for system operation. Often at the top of a crash log after a kernal panic you can see info that will clue you in on what might be happening.
