DROBO STATUS?

I have had a 5n since 2010 and never had any issues or problems. I came across a 5N2 that I bought second had and discovered Drobo was in serious financial trouble. I always try to stay current with what is going on with tech and basically fell into the "out of site out of mind" The App Store seems to be down as well as update server.The info on the status of the company is almost non-existent.
Anyone have any insight?
