honestly, i prefer the droid ads compared to the apple facetime ads.

apple is ridiculously exploiting emotion to attach users to their product.

exploiting emotion? to me it seems like apple is giving examples of the difference one of their features can make in their life. Pretty smart considering that video calling has never really taken off. This way apple is helping customers understand what the feature can do and why they would want to use it.

It makes the impressionable not feel that their phone sucks next to the iPhone. That's the purpose. I think it achieves that.

Too bad Droid sucks though.

Droid ads don't need to show functionality like Apple ads do. They just have to be badass. :D
(Although they should show more cool apps other than Pandora, Qik, and Facebook)

Wouldn't it be funny if they did a Fring video call with one person on a Droid, and another on an iPhone in a commercial?

Not going to lie, the droid ads are awesome IMO.
I agree.

Besides it's just an advertisement. No need for Apple fans to take it so seriously, and get all worked up. Motorola is not doing anything that hasn't been done before. In addition, the Android platform is good for Apple, and their customers. Combine that with Apples own disastrous handling of the iPhone 4 faults. and it ads up to a massive slap of reality for Apple. No one needs it more than they do. History will reveal that Apple either woke up & became better, or snoozed and slid backwards. This is Apples game to lose.

Really well made, if you ask me. I enjoyed watching it.

But… very overdramatic. It's a phone. Come on. No one's going to believe that.

Understood, but look at how "dramatic" people are around here about their iPhone. LOL! One tiny little scratch and its game over man!

Seriously though I love the commercials. They say "this phone means business". LOL!

That said I am VERY happy with my iPhone and have decided to ride this thing out. :D

some of you are slow and don't realize it's a teaser ad. It's an ad that will only be shown for a day. Tomorrow we'll probably see a lot more Droid ads
