I couldn't tell if that was the trailer to a remake of Sphere or a phone commercial

I never got their commercials. They're interesting but they don't tell me anything about the phone or why I should get one. At least with the iPhone they are actually advertising one of the features (even if it's just FaceTime).

That looks like an ad for some ridiculous video game. It doesn't even show what the phone looks like, or what it does. At least Apple's ads have some emotion and show you what the phone can do.

then you probably wouldn't like AT&T's new ad campaign 'Rethink Possible'

a lot of companies do it. as another poster said, they achieved success because we're talking about it.

I actually enjoyed that one quite a bit, but I'm a big fan of aquariums and aquatic life. That said, AT&T also isn't advertising a phone in that, but their company as a whole, trying to put forth a "vision" or whatever. I can dig it. Maybe I'm just anti-Droid too. too soon to tell, I'm still on Virgin Mobile and using a Samsung Mantra.

If this was made by apple you guys would be all over it :/

I have no doubt that the negative nancy's would be all over these if in fact it was an iphone commercial. I'm not in denial. The commercials are awesome. Again thug iPhone 4 for me.

how does this ad make me want to by the phone? it doesn't.. it literally does not tell me a single thing about it

Liked the trailer, kinda like Master Chief on a quest for Droid X.

I'm guessing the real ads start airing today.

That was an awesome ad! Just think about the people that are going to want that phone. Most people that buy the droids are computer/gamer nerds that can customize their phones. This gets on their level, not ours. That is why some of us don't like it. I bet if this was for the iPhone and it was June 23rd, we'd be going nuts!

That would be a great advertisement if the market for smart phones consisted entirely of males in their 20s.

Good production value and atmosphere. The decision to not actually show the product was a smart one. Had they shown these folks looking in marvel at a Droid X it would have made the whole thing laughable.

This isn't their worst ad, but I have to question the sanity of these marketers.

I mean, seriously, who wants to use a HAL phone that is going to kill you in your sleep? That's the vibe I get from these ads.
