I upgraded to Dropbox Beta because I got a notification for my M1 Pro Macbook Pro 14. Not only did it force a resync that took several days to reupload 900GB of files (not sure why), it seems to have significantly degraded performance of both Dropbox and Finder. It moved the files around to different folders, there's a several second delay in opening folders now when it was 100% snappy, and also whatever they did is extremely buggy. Be warned.
