a lot of programs are crashing on iOS5, some do not even function.

This surprises anyone? The iOS5 beta sdk was made available yesterday, so you'll have to excuse all these lazy devs for not re-compiling their apps for it just yet.

I just ran into the same issue with Dropbox. Also, the Weather Channel app won't stay loaded no matter what screen you're on.
